Test of nonlocality for a continuous-variable state based on an arbitrary number of measurement outcomes.

چکیده
We propose a scheme to test Bell's inequalities for an arbitrary number of measurement outcomes on entangled continuous-variable (CV) states. The Bell correlation functions are expressible in terms of phase-space quasiprobability functions with complex ordering parameters, which can experimentally be determined via a local CV-qubit interaction. We demonstrate that CV systems can give higher violations of these Bell's inequalities than of the ones developed for two-outcome observables.

Quantum nonlocality and partial transposition for continuous-variable systems.
A continuous-variable Bell inequality, valid for an arbitrary number of observers measuring observables with an arbitrary number of outcomes, was recently introduced [Cavalcanti, Phys. Rev. Lett. 99, 210405 (2007)10.1103/PhysRevLett.99.210405]. We prove that any n-mode quantum state violating this inequality with quadrature measurements necessarily has a negative partial transposition. Our resu...
متن کاملD-outcome measurement for a non-locality test
For the purpose of the nonlocality test, we propose a general correlation observable of two parties by utilizing local d-outcome measurements with SU(d) transformations and classical communications. Generic symmetries of the SU(d) transformations and correlation observables are found for the test of nonlocality. It is shown that these symmetries dramatically reduce the number of numerical varia...

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) weakens the immune system in confronting various diseases by attacking to CD4+T cells. In modeling HIV behavior, the number of CD4+T cells is considered as the output. But, continuous-time measurement of these cells is not possible in practice, and the measurement is only available at variable intervals that are several times bigger than sampling time. In this...
متن کاملGenerating arbitrary photon-number entangled states for continuous-variable quantum informatics.
We propose two experimental schemes that can produce an arbitrary photon-number entangled state (PNES) in a finite dimension. This class of entangled states naturally includes non-Gaussian continuous-variable (CV) states that may provide some practical advantages over the Gaussian counterparts (two-mode squeezed states). We particularly compare the entanglement characteristics of the Gaussian a...
متن کاملRobust Distributed Source Coding with Arbitrary Number of Encoders and Practical Code Design Technique
The robustness property can be added to DSC system at the expense of reducing performance, i.e., increasing the sum-rate. The aim of designing robust DSC schemes is to trade off between system robustness and compression efficiency. In this paper, after deriving an inner bound on the rate–distortion region for the quadratic Gaussian MDC based RDSC system with two encoders, the structure of...
